Life
begins at 40………..An old maxim most will consider
nothing but cliché and as realistic as moving mountains or
reaching for the stars. However if you were like the author doing
your personal best 100m at 43 or like our cover model Trevor in
your best shape at 46, you would be dancing to that tune.
Though the steady decline of testosterone combined with the absence
of growth hormone and increase effect of progesterone all work in
tandem against masculine enhancement. You can beat the odds. Don't
be fooled, it's not an overnight gain and should be an effort contiguous
with good habits cultivated from the third and fourth decades.
I am unable to endorse the miracle pills, powders and paraphernalia
you see advertised every day that promise results in three weeks,
but I can tell you how real people, like Trevor, achieve good results.
At 40 and there after, achieving that cover worthy physique requires
what my high school teacher called stick-to-itiveness. This applies
to the work out programme, diet, supplementation and lifestyle.
Hard work and sacrifice is the only road to a six pack……………..no,
not of beers but abs. That my friends is the hardest of all goals
to achieve at this time of life, when hormonal changes dictate that
fat must get stored around the waist and lower abdomen.
